‘Lily of the Nile.’ A wonderful plant for pots or flower beds. An explosion of small, trumpet shaped flowers will emerge from the top of a tall stalk.

If planted in pots, Agapanthus will need to be brought into the greenhouse in winter but if you have put them in the ground, they should be happy simply covered over with a layer of mulch for protection.

Try leaving the dead flower stalks on as winter decoration, they look amazing dusted with frost.

Plant the rhizome only just below the surface. A sunny position is essential and a liquid feed is beneficial.
