Camassia Bulbs
These starry flowers come from North America. Camassia bulbs will look beautiful in your flowerbeds through May and June, but are equally tall and proud naturalising among grass. Make sure not to mow them until July, when all trace of the camassia foliage has disappeared. The stalks can be cut once the flowers have finished
The hardy Camassia bulbs will grow happily in heavy or even clay soils. Once planted they don’t require much care and will flower again the following year. We suggest planting amongst Pheasant Eye Narcissus (N.Poeticus-Recurvis): this makes a fantastic display and they enjoy the same conditions too.
