Colchicum bulbs, or autumn crocus, are a perennial bulb that blooms from the beginning of fall up to the first frost spells, it will flower year after year. Colchicum bulbs are perfect for ground cover when clustered together. Choose a sunny area or part shade for the best results.

Plant colchicum bulbs from July to September, equally spaced, at around 4 to 6 inches (10 to 15 cm) deep.

Although crocus and colchicum look very similar, they do belong to different families.
