Cardiocrinum Bulbs

‘Giant Himalayan Lily.’ It may take a year or two for the bulbs to settle with only the large glossy leaves appearing at ground level. These are already visually interesting in themselves but then patience will most definately be rewarded when strong stems start to emerge. These Cardiocrinum giganteum will reach a height of up to 3 metres and be topped with as many as 20 of the most fragrant white, trumpet flowers.

After flowering, the bulbs will divide into several bulblets that will flower again in a few years to come. It is worth planting a few so to keep a rotation going.

Plant with the crown of the bulb level with the surface in a humus-rich, shady spot.
