Allium Red Mohican

Allium Red Mohican – this allium bulb makes a welcome return to our spring flowering bulb collection this year. Allium ‘Red Mohican’ is strikingly different in colour and shape; the smallish heads around 4cm diameter wave on long stems standing 90cm tall. The clusters of dark wine-red flowers are tipped with white; like tiny cigars; and the sphere is pulled upwards into cox combs.

‘Red Mohican’ look good planted in groups amongst lower growing perennials. Like all alliums; deer and squirrels tend not to eat them; but they will attract butterflies and bees. They are easy to grow; fragrant and look interesting as dried flowers.
