Growing Aquilegia Vulgaris

Plant this fully hardy herbaceous perennial in full sun to partial shade in fertile, moist, well-drained soil.

Deadhead to prolong flowering. Lift and divide large clumps in early spring and apply a generous mulch (2-3in) of well-rotted manure or garden compost around the plant. Divided plants might take some time to establish since they don’t like having their roots disturbed.
