    More Information

Double Begonia Orange is a unique hybrid begonia that produces beautiful double blossoms with apricot, orange and yellow hues. This captivating variety grows well in both sun and shade, making it an ideal choice for containers, window boxes and the garden.

To successfully grow begonias, start by selecting a location in full sun to partial shade. Choose a spot that receives four hours of direct sunlight every day to ensure your plant will thrive. For container-grown plants, use a premium-quality soil mix modified with some organic material like compost or peat moss to help retain moisture near the roots. Water your Double Begonia at least once per week so the soil remains moist but not soggy.

water deeply but infrequently. Trim back plants as needed to encourage bushier growth and help keep the size of your plants in check; this also helps prevent them from getting too leggy. Fertilize with a balanced liquid fertilizer every two weeks during its growing season for best results. Finally, be sure to remove any dead or diseased foliage promptly to prevent possible problems like rot or disease from taking hold.

In the first year these will often flower late into summer and autumn. The bulbs are hard but the foliage will quickly die once the frosts hit. Cover with mulch and trim back any growth.
