Dutch Iris Carmen

Dutch Iris Carmen is a near white iris with a slight blushing of lilac pink with a bright yellow throat. Flowering in May to June Dutch iris are much larger and later than the species iris that flower in March. They are the biggest iris to grow from bulbs and are different to the tuberous bearded iris or flag iris.

Providing the bulbs don’t dry out or get too wet iris will flower each year. They are hardy but like to be planted in a sunny position. You don’t need to soak the bulbs but it can help to start root growth in autumn.
