      More Information

Euonymus Japonica, (Emerald Gaiety) commonly known as the Japanese spindle tree, is an evergreen shrub that is native to East Asia. It features glossy green foliage edged in pale yellow. It can grow up to 10 feet tall. The plant produces small yellowish-green flowers in springtime, followed by bright red berries in late summer or early autumn.

If you are looking for a low-maintenance shrub with vibrant foliage to add to your garden, Euonymus Japonica could be the perfect choice. This hardy shrub will thrive in partial shade or full sun, but prefers cooler temperatures. To ensure healthy growth it’s important to water regularly and provide good drainage for the roots. Additionally, Euonymus Japonicus should be fertilized once a year, preferably in late spring or early summer.

Pruning is also necessary to maintain its shape and size, as well as encourage new growth. It is slow growing only adding 10-20cm per year in size.

Supplied in 1litre pots with peat free compost. Our shrubs are locally grown and UK cultivated.
