Helleborus niger (Christmas Rose)

Helleborus Niger Bare Root Perennial – The Winter or Christmas Rose; a white flower with flushes of green and rose.

Helleborus Niger bears large, round, flat-faced flowers which are white with pink and green tinges above low-growing mounds of deep green, leathery foliage. It’s perfect for growing at the front of a partially shaded border. Plant in moist soil in semi shade.

Cut old leaves down to the ground in January or February as this will show off the new emerging flowers to best effect and help to avoid diseases such as Hellebore leaf spot. Apply a generous mulch around the base of the plant in autumn and apply general fertiliser each spring.
