Lilium Candidum (The Madonna Lily)
Pure white flowers; very highly scented and earlier flowering than asiatic lilies. Lilium candidum can be left undisturbed for years. This bulb doesn’t cope well with being out of the ground which is why it is best planted in Autumn.
These look fabulous planted in bulk, but as with all lilies, watch out for lily beetles.
