More Information

Daffodil Bravoure – a beautiful bi-colour daffodil. It has a long smooth yellow trumpet with white petals; a clean, elegant daffodil.

Daffodil is the common name for Narcissus and it’s what we think of when referring to a trumpet variety like Daffodil Bravoure. It is the most classic form of narcissus and a timeless representation of spring.

Planting Daffodil bulbs

The best time to plant daffodil bulbs is in autumn, in full sun or light dappled shade. Plant at one-and-a-half times their depth, slightly deeper in light soils or grass. Daffodil bulbs are fully hardy perennials that tolerate most soils, but will do best in well-drained soil that is moist in spring.

They benefit from being deadheaded as the flowers fade, allow the leaves to die back so that the bulbs have nutrients to come back the following year.

Established daffodil clumps will benefit from division. Gently lift and separate the bulbs, to replant as the leaves fade in early summer, or in early autumn before new roots are produced.
