More Information
Narcissus bulbocodium Conspicuus (Yellow Hoop Petticoat) – is an exaggerated example of the variety and versatility of daffodils. Narcissus bulbocodium Conspicuus produces such a dainty, golden yellow flower on a very short stem. With their hooped cup and the tiniest petals, they might look bizarre when regarded as a daffodil, but in their own right they are an exquisite little flower. This variety are quite low lying and flower amongst their grass like leaves.
How to grow
Plant Narcissus bulbocodium Conspicuus (Yellow Hoop Petticoat) daffodil bulbs in pots or borders in a good soil. Make sure it retains moisture, but doesn’t become water logged by adding grit or good drainage. For example rubble at the bottom of a pot. The bulbs are only small and can be planted 8cm deep in autumn.
