Narcissus Sailboat is sweetly scented and can have 3 flowers per stem. Jonquilla narcissi are probably the most popular group of miniature daffodils we have. They are all delicately scented, single flowers that can produce numerous flowers per stem. They flower mid season and have a great range of delicate colour combinations. Narcissus Sailboat is a favourite of ours. Cream, star shaped petals blend into a lemon yellow trumpet which fades over time. Flowering in late March.
Sailboat is also the parent to Yellow Sailboat which has the same beautiful proportions only in pure yellow.
Plant these bulbs in autumn between September and November. they can tolerate most soils and sunny or semi shaded positions. Place the bulbs 15cm deep and 5cm apart. A pack of 25 bulbs will fill 2 large planters or stretch to over a metre in a straight line.
