Narcissus Topolino In the Green

Narcissus Topolino In the Green is now available ‘In the Green’. At just under 20cm tall Narcissus Topolino has a creamy white perianth and a lemon trumpet. It is a short narcissus reaching only 20cm high. Narcissus Topolino bulbs flower from March and they have a medium sized flower with a well pronounced trumpet. The pale petals have a slight twist and lean forward and the foliage is a silvery green.

How to Plant

Narcissus bulbs are very tough bulbs so they perform well in most environments. Ideally they like moist well drawing soil in a sunny or medium shaded spot. You can plant them upto 15cm deep.

In the green stocks have been growing in our nursery and should have a good root system and green foliage showing. Normally we sell these bulbs in Autumn and they would be planted from September. These in the green stocks will be ready to go in the ground within a couple of weeks of receiving them. To prevent them from drying out during shipping we keep them in recyclable plastic bags. Unfortunately this is the only way to keep them healthy but make sure they are unpacked as soon as you receive them and make sure they get plenty of air flow to the tops.

You can cut an envelope in the soil and lay the Narcissus Topolino In the Green in or dib a hole and pop them in individually.

If you are looking for Pseudo Narcissus this is the closest you will find to Narcissus Lobularis. Unfortunately the supply of Pseudo Narcissus is very short. Many native bulbs are extremely hard to cultivate and depend on naturalised stock from wild sources. As much as we support the planting of native bulbs we have to be careful not to over harvest them.
