Planting Hyacinth Bulbs

Plant your Hyacinth bulbs from mid to late autumn, in borders or containers. Plant 10-15cm deep and 10-15cm apart. They grow well in sun or partial shade. If the soil is very dry when you plant them, water them in to settle them. They should not require watering through winter unless the soil becomes dry. They only require water in spring if it is particularly warm and the soil dries out.

Hyacinths are fully hardy and prefer to be outdoors throughout winter, so you can leave them in the ground to enjoy again!
