More Information
Peony (Paeony) Shirley Temple – produces large double flowers, pale pink fading to white.
When it comes to growing peonies, there are a few things you need to keep in mind. Peonies require full sun and well-drained soil in order to thrive. They also benefit from being planted in an area where they will be protected from strong winds. It can take a few years for them to grow to full size. After this you can divide them with a spade.
To plant your peony, dig a hole that is about twice the width of the root ball and just as deep. Place the roots in the hole and then fill in with soil, tamping it down lightly as you go. Water well after planting.
Peonies will bloom in late spring or early summer. To encourage more blooms, deadhead spent flowers as they fade. With proper care, your peony plants will provide you with beautiful blooms for many years to come. Enjoy your Peony Shirley Temple!
