Photinia fraseri Red Robin, also known as the Christmas Berry, is a popular evergreen shrub that produces an abundant display of bright red berries in winter. Known for its warm red leaves that mature into a deep green. Growing at 20-40cm a year it is easy to maintain and can reach unto 4m in height.
It grows best in full sun and moist well-drained soil with average fertility. When planting Photinia fraseri Red Robin, make sure to space it far enough apart so that all branches have plenty of room to reach their full potential.
When it comes to caring for Photinia fraseri Red Robin, regular pruning is essential to maintain its shape and health. Prune any overgrown or damaged branches back in late spring or summer when the plant is actively growing. Additionally, apply an even layer of mulch around the base of the shrub every spring to help retain moisture and suppress weeds.
