More Information
Puschkinia libanotica bulbs are porcelain blue with a fine central streak on each flower. Puschkinia look like they could be miniature hyacinths. The foliage is thick and broad but low lying. A Puschkinia libanotica flower will only reach 15cm high. As an early flowering bulb they are very useful for underplanting of early tulips or creating carpets of flowers.
Plant these small bulbs in autumn, between September and December. Put them 5-8 cm deep. They can be used in bulb lasagnes when planted in pots. They will prefer a moist but well draining soil, however they will happily grow in most conditions.
Puschkinia libanotica bulbs are hardy and will naturalise over time.
