Pyracantha coccinea Soleil D’or is an evergreen shrub that produces a profusion of stunning white flowers in the spring, followed by clusters of bright orange berries in the autumn and winter. It grows very quickly and will need pruning once a year.
This versatile shrub can grow up to six feet tall and five feet wide and will thrive in partial shade or full sun. It prefers well-drained soils but can tolerate some drought. For best results, water regularly during dry periods and fertilize once a year with a balanced fertilizer.
Prune as needed after flowering to maintain shape and size. Pyracantha coccinea Soleil D’or is low maintenance and easy to care for. It can be pruned into shape but beware of spikes on the stems. It makes an excellent intruder deterrent as a hedge or under windows.
