More Information

Species Iris Blue Note is a fine example of the rich blue/purple colouring that are synonymous with iris. The falls (the sepal or tongue) are a velvet, almost black colour with a contrasting white blotch. The standards (upward petals) a rich royal blue. Named after the great Jazz label, this is a very cool iris. It is one of the first flowers you will see in your garden beds flowering in February to March.

Plant the bulbs in autumn between September and December in a sunny position. Plant around 5-8 cm deep in beds or pots. Iris are hardy bulbs that will re-flower each year.
