More Information
The fringes on Tulip Cummins are quite exaggerated. The white fringe fades gently into a luscious deep lilac toward the base on the outer petal. As a statement tulip bulb, tulip Cummins is a very elegant tulip. It has a long stem and flowers later into the season. Try pairing with a simple single late tulip to make it stand out.
Plant tulips in autumn in a mixture of loam, compost or garden soil. You need a soil that drains easily but hold moisture. Tulips neither like to be too wet over winter or too dry during spring. Remove the petals and heads once the flower has finished and lift the tulip bulbs once the foliage has died back. If there are any bulbs big enough you can replant them the following autumn. Store in a well ventilated and dry area.
