This is a true, non-hybridised, perennial Species Tulip.
How to grow Species Tulips
Species Tulip Bulbs will do best in beds and borders but can also be planted in pots. Plant around 15-20cm deep and 15cm apart, between October and December. They will perform best in well draining soil and a sunny, or semi-shaded location. After they have flowered, leave the foliage in place to die back, to allow nutrients to transfer back into the bulb ready to flower again next year. Species tulips will naturalise if you avoid deadheading and allow them to produce seed.
