    More Information

Tulip Flair – a brilliant and vibrant single early tulip, Tulip Flair has the classic red and yellow markings of so many tulip bulbs. Similar to many old varieties such as Cape Cod, the yellow edges leave a triangular red marking on the outside of the tulip petal. Inside is bright yellow with a red circle and a black centre. Tulip Flair is a great spring antidote to the short grey days of winter. Flowering in March these will be a great start to your flowering year.

    How to plant tulip bulbs

Tulip bulbs prefer a well drained soil but will grow in most soils. Try not to over water them during winter. During extended wet periods you can cover them over to avoid them getting water logged. Keep them moist during the growing season once the foliage starts to emerge. In pots we use a mixture of garden soil, grit and loam to get the right drainage and water retention.

Plant the tulip bulbs in full sun or a slightly shaded position at approximately 10cm deep. You can plant up to 60-70 tulip bulbs per square metre. For further advice have a look at our growing advice on tulip bulbs.
