    More Information

Tulip Holland Chic – is a very cool tulip, a lily flowering tulip bulb that produces a predominantly white flower. The shape is much more bulbous than many of the other lily flowered tulips. Tulip Holland Chic is wider at the base and strongly curved petals reaching to a point. From the base a cream and green blotch meets a gentle flush of pink. The pink will start to flood the white as it grows and by the end of two weeks you’ll have a strong contrast of white and pink.

    What are Lily Flowered Tulips?

Lily flowered tulips are hybrids, they produce slender flowers, often with recurving, pointed petals. The stems are not very sturdy, making them prone to wind damage, so they are best planted in a sheltered position. Like most tulips, they bloom best the first year after planting. They will often bloom again in the second year, but with smaller and fewer flowers.

Lily flowering tulip bulbs flower later in the season towards the end of April and into May, slightly before single late tulips. Often very long lily flowering tulips can be weighed down by the size of the flower heads however, Tulip Holland Chic stays upright despite the tall stem. They look great planted amongst dark tulips or using the white or and pink pairing with similar colours.
