    More Information

Tulip La Belle Epoque – this wonderful flower is only grown in small quantities. So their price is quite high but even still, you’ll have to order early before we sell out of this great bulb. A recent fashion icon, showing up in many magazines, Tulip La Belle Epoque has a unique colouring. The peach, salmon and orange colours fuse to create a subdued rusty colour. A large double late flowering tulip on a medium but sturdy stem. They work well on their own, but they can act as an accent amongst simpler flowers to spread them out. Try planting with other single late tulips.

    How to Plant

Tulip bulbs like to be planted in well draining soil so they don’t get too wet over winter. It is important to not let them dry out in spring as this will effect the flowers. Plant tulip bulbs 8-10cm deep and around 5-8 cm part at least. You do not need to feed them at the planting stage but once they have flowered remove the heads and give them a little food to help put some energy back into the bulb. Tulip bulbs, particularly fancy tulips, need to be a certain size to flower and often the small bulblets they produce after flowering aren’t quite big enough for the following year. You can keep them and repot them for future years.
