More Information

Tulip Orange Cassini is a dusky orange tulip with on oval shape. Cassini is an older red variety of tulip from which tulip Orange Cassini is derived. In the sun the flower opens up into a lovely cup shape showing a bright orange centre.  It is a tall tulip that flowers in Late April and continues to flower into May.

How to plant tulip bulbs

Plant tulip bulbs around 10cm deep in well draining soil. A loam mix is ideal but any soil will be fine if you mix in some grit. Tulips do not like to sit in water over winter. If it is a particularly wet winter try putting pots under cover. It is equally important not to let Tulip Orange Cassini dry out once it has started to grow as this will stunt the flower bud and you will get a withered flower even before the bud is properly formed. Tulip bulbs can be planted in either full sun or dappled shade. The latter will help prolong the life of the flower.
