    More Information

Tulip Oscar – is one of the most popular single early varieties of tulips and is a great choice for any garden. It has beautiful red petals turning slightly orange that make it an eye-catching addition to any garden.

    Tips to grow your tulips

The first step in growing Tulip Oscar successfully, is to choose the right location, look for a place that gets plenty of sun and has good drainage. When planting, tulip bulbs should be planted at least 8cm below the soil surface. It is also important to allow them enough space, as overcrowding can lead to poor growth and flowering results.

Once planted, tulip bulbs require regular watering and fertiliser, to ensure they get enough nutrients. Additionally, deadheading spent blooms will encourage healthy bulb growth for the next year.

Some gardeners prefer to lift and store tulip bulbs rather than leaving them in the ground. Lift them with a hand fork once the foliage has turned yellow, four to six weeks after flowering. Remove the foliage, trim the stem and remove the flaky outer coating from the bulb.

Your tulip bulbs can give you beautiful blooms each year for many years to come, with proper care and attention they will continue to thrive in your garden!
