Tulip Passionale – The Italian for passionate, so it must be good! Tulip Passionale is packed full of purple. Similar to Tulip Negrita (also a triumph purple tulip). Tulip Passionale has a little more variety in colour and shape. Mid-season flowers arrive in April and the stem grows to 40-45cm high. This tulip will often feature in our Tulip Pink and Purple Mixture. Purple is a great colour for your garden, it works well with the emerging greens of your perennials. Mixing purples with pinks, whites and oranges are also successful combination.
Plant these tulip bulbs in any place in your garden, providing they have plenty of soil for the roots to grow into. Give them plenty of water once they start poking through the soil but you don’t need to water them much over winter. Only during long dry spells. At 40cm high they look good in beds, pots or boarders. Triumph tulips grown from our bulbs help you get larger flowers than the flowers you’ll get from the supermarket. You can cut the stems just as they are about to open and once the majority of the green colour has gone from the outer petals.
