Tulip Rembrandt Mixture

Tulip Rembrandt Mixture – is a hand-picked selection of these wonderful flamed tulips. Rembrandt tulips capture the golden age of art and horticulture with their refined stripes and perfect cup shaped heads. A tall tulip flowering in April or May, these are certainly show stealing flowers that deserve to have their picture painted.

How to plant tulips

Tulip bulbs like a well drained soil. It is important not to over water them in winter but keep them moist during the growing season from early spring. If planting in pots we use a mixture of garden soil, grit and loam. Compost can dry out very quickly and once it loses its moisture it doesn’t take on moisture very quickly. Tulip bulbs are often cultivated in very sandy soil.

Plant in full sun or a slightly shaded position at approximately 10cm deep. You can plant up to 70 bulbs per square metre.
