Tulip Salmon Dynasty

Tulip Salmon Dynasty – is a new triumph tulip grown from the variety Tulip Dynasty. Suitably called Dynasty, there are a number of off-shoots from this pink and white tulip. Tulip Salmon Dynasty is quite true to the parent with the addition of an apricot flush coming from the top of the petal. The blend of apricot and pink give this tulip its salmon colour.

How to Plant

Plant your Tulip Salmon Dynasty bulbs in a hole of around 10-15cm deep in well drawing soil. They don’t need a lot of water during winter so make sure they drain well if planted in pots. Once they are actively growing make sure that they don’t dry out or this will make the flowers shrivel before they’ve even begun.

We recommend lifting tulips once they have finished for the season although there are some tulips that can do very well if left in the ground. Usually the bulb splits into many smaller bulbs and many of them will not be flowering size. You can save the bulblets if you are prepared to nurture them upto a good size. This can take a couple of years. It also helps to remove the seed head so the leaves can concentrate their energy into the bulb.
