    More Information

Tulip Table Dance – is a double late tulip flowering from mid to late April. This bulb sits somewhere between pink and purple fading slightly as it reaches the rim of the petal. I believe the name is a reference to how well it works as a cut flower!

Double late tulip bulbs are large and wonderful flowers, this Tulip Table Dance almost looks like a peony. Their billowing heads are packed with colour and last for a very long time. Usually around 40cm high on sturdy stems. These Tulip Table Dance would work well planted in a large group or paired with other pink and purple double late tulips. Maybe even throw in some Queen of night for a stunning contrast.

    How to Plant

Tulips are easy to grow providing they have free draining soil and plenty of water once they start producing leaves. Plant the bulbs 10cm deep with the point of the bulb facing up. You can plant them quite closely however double late tulips have quite large heads and probably could be spaced further apart for maximum impact.

Fancy tulip bulbs such as these Tulip Table Dance need larger bulbs of a size 10/11 or more. Once the flower has finished the bulb splits into many smaller bulbs. These bulblets won’t flower next year so it is wise to lift them. They can be kept for a couple of years to bulk up, if you have room and time to do so. You can read more here
