More Information

Tulip Virichic – are a vibrant blend of fuchsia-pink with a shamrock-green midrib. Tulip Virichic are an interesting tall tulip. The thin and papery petals, make the flower almost translucent in the spring sun. Viridflora bulbs are defined by a green flame up the centre of the petal, but it is not unique to just viridiflora tulips. Many other tulips have green flames, and all tulips will begin as green buds. However this group of tulips have a clear elegant style and delicacy.

How to plant tulip bulbs

Plant your Tulip Virichic bulbs in well drained soil. They will grow in most soils if you add a little grit to help drainage. During long wet periods in winter you can cover them over to avoid the bulbs getting soaked. Keep the bulbs well watered during the growing season.

Tulip bulbs can be planted in full sun or a slightly shaded position. Plant the bulbs at approximately 10cm deep. A pack of 10 bulbs would easily fill a pot or a couple of packs to run the length of a mid-size border. Have a look at our growing advice on tulip bulbs.
