More Information
Tulip Washington – is a golden yellow tulip, with a bold red flame, running centrally up the side of the petal. Tulip Washington is similar to the Tulip Helmar, but Tulip Washington is a larger flower with a more simplistic flame. It flowers in late April and grows to 50cm high. Rembrandt tulips are a wonderful addition to the garden. They make a great focal point with their large bold flowers, drawing your eye to the hot colour combination.
How to Plant
Tulip bulbs are easy to plant and grow. Tall bulbs like these will want to be positioned in the middle of beds rather than borders or pots. To make sure of success remember to not over water in winter and keep moist in spring. Plant from September or October to allow roots to form over winter. They will keep out of the ground in to winter just make sure you store them in dry conditions with plenty of air flow around them.
