More Information
Tulip White Marvel – is a single early tulip. Bright white with rich green foliage growing to 35cm tall.
Single early tulips flower after Fosteriana tulips and cottage tulips but before triumph tulips. Generally they have a shorter stem and stand bolt upright.
Tips to grow your tulips
The first step in growing Tulip White Marvel is to choose the right location. When selecting the perfect spot, look for a place that gets plenty of sun and has good drainage. When planting, tulip bulbs should be planted at least 8cm below the soil surface. It is also important to allow them enough space, as overcrowding can lead to poor growth and flowering results.
Once planted, tulip bulbs require regular watering and fertiliser, to ensure they get enough nutrients. Additionally, deadheading spent blooms will encourage healthy bulb growth for the next year.
Some gardeners prefer to lift and store tulip bulbs rather than leaving them in the ground. Lift them with a hand fork once the foliage has turned yellow, four to six weeks after flowering. Remove the foliage, trim the stem and remove the flaky outer coating from the bulb.
Your tulip bulbs can give you beautiful blooms each year for many years to come, with proper care and attention they will continue to thrive in your garden!
