How to grow Species Tulips
Species Tulip Bulbs will do best in beds and borders but can also be planted in lawns and grass. Plant around 15-20cm deep and 15cm apart, from October through to December. They will perform best in well draining soil and a sunny, or semi-shaded location, as they open wider in direct sun. After they have finished flowering, leave the foliage in place to die back, allowing goodness to transfer back into the bulb ready to flower again next year, if they are planted in a lawn, avoid mowing over them during this time. Species tulips will naturalise if you avoid deadheading and allow them to produce seed.
