More Information
Veronica spicata Anniversary Rose is a perennial flowering plant from the family Plantaginaceae. It is an upright, bushy plant that can reach up to 60cm in height, with lance-shaped leaves that blooms from late spring throughout the summer. Veronica are also sometimes known as Speedwell.
The blooms are spikes of small, star-shaped flowers. They come in shades of pink, purple and white, in this variety, pink. The flowers on this herbaceous perennial are very attractive to bees and other pollinators.
Growing Veronica spicata
This compact plant is a hardy perennial, easy to grow and thrives in full sunlight or partial shade. They are free from most pests and diseases. Plant Veronica spicata Anniversary Rose in containers or directly into garden beds and borders for a delightful display of colour throughout the summer months. Trimming spent blossoms to just below the base of the flower will encourage a second flush. They will benefit from being cut back at the end of the summer, once the foliage has died back.
With its drought-tolerance and resilience, Veronica spicata Anniversary Rose is an excellent choice for any garden.
